Karin Slegers
Karin Slegers is a cognitive psychologist. In 2006 she received a PhD in the combined area of cognitive aging and human computer interaction. She has been working for Vodafone Group R&D and is currently employed as a senior HCI researcher at the Centre for Usability Research (CUO) at K.U. Leuven. She has been working on several user centred design projects focusing on NFC applications.
Dries De Roeck
Dries De Roeck graduated as a Master in Product Development at the Hogeschool Antwerpen, Belgium. He’s now working as a researcher at the Centre for Usability Research (CUO) at K.U.Leuven. The concept ‘touch’ is a central theme in the research projects he is working on, which currently involve NFC, multitouch interfaces and tangible interactions.
Timo Arnall
Timo Arnall is a designer and researcher at the Oslo School of Architecture & Design (AHO). His research looks at practices around ubiquitous computing in urban space. At the moment his work focuses on the personal and social use of RFID technologies, looking for potential interactions with objects and city spaces through mobile devices. Timo leads the research project Touch at AHO, looking at the use of mobile technology and NFC.
Marc Godon
The workshop touch affordances is supported by Alcatel Lucent Bell Labs Belgium.
Marc Godon is a member of the Ambient Media department at Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs in Antwerp, Belgium. He is responsible for several external projects,coaching creativity, and conducting user research. He is interested in all aspects of new and valuable experience designs, and the application of creative opportunity scouting techniques for finding new application concepts.
